Islamorada dining offers a variety of excellent restaurants with great food, relaxing ambiance and even some offer rentals for fun water activities.
This well-known area of Islamorada, now owned by the Postcard Inn, has plenty of dining opportunities for family and friends. Grab a Rum Runner at the world famous Holiday Isle Tiki Bar where you can find people dancing to live local music all night long. If you are hungry, then swing by Shula’s 2. They offer fresh seafood, steaks, salads, sandwiches, and, of course, their famous Shula burgers. If you are looking for even more seafood, drinks, and live entertainment, then the Jaws Raw Bar is the place for you. They offer everything fishy: fish sandwiches, fish tacos, conch chowder, raw oysters, shrimp cooked every which way. On top of the great food and drinks, the view from the bar is gorgeous. There are also places to rent jet skis, paddleboards, and kayaks on site, as well as opportunities for fishing and diving. Also be sure to stop by one of the many art galleries and antique shops in the area.

Islamorada Fish Company and Zane Grey Lounge
Located behind the Bass Pro Shop is the wonderful and locally cherished Islamorada Fish Company. This oceanfront restaurant began in the 1940s as a snack bar. Its popularity grew immensely over the years. They can now be found in Bass Pro Shops all over the country. Diners can watch boats come into the docks as they dine on any of their delicious seafood dishes. Many of the docking boats contain the fresh fish found in the entrees. If you don’t like seafood, they also offer steaks, chicken, and other kinds of food. I would go all out and get some surf and turf: steak or a burger AND some fine seafood. Why not have the best of both worlds? On the second floor of Bass Pro Shops you can find another place to kill time: the famous Zane Grey lounge. Grab a drink and a cigar and enjoy the gorgeous view overlooking the ocean or the wonderful gallery of ocean themed art that is located right next door.

Robbie’s Marina offers many different activities that the entire family can enjoy. The marina was formed about 20 years ago after is became the home of a famous tarpon named “Scarface.” He was named this after having a large gash on his face stitched up. The owners of the area kept feeding him every day. Eventually, more and more fish started to show up at the marina. It then became a hotspot for tarpon feedings and dockside fishing. Now, Robbie’s offers many amenities, including boat and kayak rentals, snorkeling tours, fishing charters, an open-air market, and a restaurant that serves up wonderful island food daily. Make it one of your stops on your next trip to the Florida Keys.
