A Celebration of Art at the Coconut Groves Art Festival 2018
Since 1963, when Charlie Cinnamon created the first Coconut Grove Art Festival, as a “clothesline art fair”, to promote the Coconut Grove Playhouse’s production of Irma la Duce, it has become one of the largest and most prestigious Art Festivals in the US, with over 120,000 people attending during President’s Day weekend.
There were dozens of dining options, food trucks, live music, great entertainment, a wonderful mix of folks of all ages and races, and the people watching was almost as entertaining as the art! Though abnormally warm for February, all attendees had a wonderful time. The variety of art was impressive, and the display of human imagination was world class!
