Public Pinecrest Parks are the pinnacle of family fun. Each one offers various activities, including tennis courts, soccer fields, picnic areas, and playgrounds. No matter which park you choose to visit, you will be sure to have a great time.
Coral Pine Park
6955 SW 104th Street
Coral Pine Park is a nine-acre park open from 8 am until 10 pm daily.
On any given day or night, you will be sure to find plenty of active locals playing tennis on one of the six lighted tennis courts or on the all-purpose field.
Coral Pine Park also has a playground for the kids and a recreation center for any large-scale meetings or social gatherings.
If you are looking for a peaceful place to read or meditate, this park also has a natural area, perfect for taking it easy.
Evelyn Greer Park
8200 SW 124th Street
Evelyn Greer Park is the headquarters for the local Pinecrest athlete. This ten-acre park has it all: batting cages, softball and soccer fields, and nice jogging trail.
If you have tots, then this park would be great for you. In 2005, Parenting Magazine voted the playground located on the property as one of the best playgrounds in South Florida.
Evelyn Greer Park is also a great place for the active student. It has a large community gazebo with Wi-Fi. If you are studying for a big test or writing a research paper and feeling overwhelmed, come do your work here for some fresh air and a nice green view.
Flagler Grove Park
7551 SW 104th Street
Flagler Grove Park is a three-acre park located in the heart of Pinecrest.
This park is a prime youth soccer area. Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club, one of South Florida’s most active youth soccer programs, plays many of its games on the lighted soccer fields in the park.
Flagler Grove Park also has a great boundless playground. This is a playground designed with all kids in mind. It focuses on eliminating barriers that usually prevent kids with disabilities, including physical, sensory, cognitive, and developmental disabilities, from playing on normal playgrounds. The fact that this park exists here in Pinecrest shows the community’s dedication to provide a high quality of life for all of its citizens.
Red Road Linear Park
East side of Red Road between Kendall Drive and Killian Drive
Red Road Linear Park is not your average park. It is an elongated two and a half mile piece of land that stretches along the Snapper Creek Canal and Red Road. It is primarily used for its walking and bicycle path, but it also has three rest areas where people are often seen having picnics or reading and relaxing. The trail also has coral rock accents and beautiful landscaping that fittingly highlight the historic Red Road.
Pinecrest Community Center
5855 Killian Drive
Pinecrest Community Center is more than just a park. It is an integral part of the entire Pinecrest Community. At the Community Center, you can find plenty of activities for the entire family. It is the heart of the park system in Pinecrest. Many community gatherings take place in its facilities.
It has the basic all-purpose fields and walking paths that come with most Pinecrest parks, but it also boasts a state-of-the-art fitness center with updated fitness equipment. Different health and fitness classes can be taken at the center, including weight-training programs, core training, Pilates, ballet, cardio exercises, and others.
You can also take many general life enrichment classes at the Community Center, like SAT prep, Chinese 101, Judo, Tai Chi, Boot Camp training, fencing, and many more. Some dance classes include ballet, salsa, line dancing, belly dancing, and modern dance. You can also create your own rock band and practice in the facilities on the property.
Seniors also play a vital role within the community. There are AARP sponsored driving programs, as well as many wellness screenings and classes specifically for senior citizens.
No matter who you are or what kind of interests you have, the Pinecrest Community has something in store for you.
12855 Pinecrest Parkway
Suniland Park is one of Pinecrest’s most beloved parks. It is home to many athletic facilities, including football fields, baseball diamonds, and basketball courts.
After being redeveloped in 2002-2003, the park added a community gazebo, more basketball courts and football fields, a brand new jogging path, and plenty of lighting upgrades for nighttime activities.
Howard Palmetto, a local baseball organization, as well as the Suniland Sundevils, a youth football team, both play most of their home games at the park. The Suniland Sundevils provide Pinecrest youth with both tackle and flag football programs.
Veterans Wayside Park
